The practice of presenting your guests with small mementos actually dates back to the 1500s. While swan wedding favors are a long standing European tradition, modern brides are getting very creative and personal with their favors ideas!

Here are just a few unique wedding favor ideas!

1. Use a small frame as a place card and personalize it with a nice quote under each guest's name.
2. Give seedlings or flower bulbs with a pretty ribbon.
3. Purchase or make bookmarks for each guest.
4. Use your printer to make personalized wedding labels for candy bar favors.
5. Use your printer to make customized labels for small splits of wine or champagne.
6. Purchase a lottery ticket for each guest and wrap it in a note of thanks and best wishes.
7. You can decorate your ceremony and reception site even if you are on a budget - this is especially true if you have time to make your own decorations! A personal touch can make it bigger and brighter!!
8. Attach bows or silk flowers to the pews in the chapel.
9. Collect wedding photos from your parents and grandparents weddings and display them in a large photo screen at the reception. Don't forget to include small inserts that tell your guests who these people are!
10. Fill the room with balloons in your wedding colors. Balloons are much less expensive than flowers and create a naturally festive atmosphere!
11. Create different table decorations for each reception table following a theme from the bride and grooms past - a college theme for when they met, a winter theme for their first ski trip, etc.
